Frequently asked

Full Truckload

Do you own trucks?

No. Good King Logistics arranges truckload transportation with qualified carrier partners across our network. This lets us match the right equipment and lane experience to each shipment rather than force it into a single fleet.

LTL

What information do you need to quote LTL?

Origin and destination ZIP codes, number and type of handling units, dimensions, total weight, commodity, freight class or NMFC when applicable, stackability, accessorial requirements, and requested pickup and delivery dates.

LTL Consolidation

How much can consolidation save?

Savings depend on volume, shipment density, geography, freight characteristics, and delivery requirements. We start with a real look at your shipment history before making projections.

Intermodal

Is intermodal always cheaper than truckload?

No. On shorter lanes, or lanes without strong rail coverage, truckload is often the better option. We compare both before recommending an approach.

Cross-Border

Are you a customs broker?

No. Good King Logistics coordinates transportation and works with your designated customs broker. Customs clearance, duties, taxes, classifications, and regulatory determinations are handled by licensed professionals and government authorities.

Warehousing

Do you own warehouses?

No. Good King Logistics arranges warehousing and distribution through qualified facility partners. This lets us match the right location, capacity, and capabilities to the customer's actual program.

Cross-Dock

What is the difference between cross-dock and transload?

Cross-docking moves freight from an inbound trailer directly to an outbound trailer with minimal storage. Transloading transfers freight between different equipment types or transportation modes — for example, from an ocean container to a dry van.

Final-Mile

Do you handle residential deliveries?

Yes, with appropriate equipment and accessorials — liftgate, appointment, and any other requirements confirmed up front.

Expedited

How fast can you dispatch?

In many markets we can have qualified equipment in motion within hours. Very tight windows depend on lane, equipment type, and market conditions.

Managed Transportation

Is this an outsourced transportation department?

It can be structured that way. For customers without dedicated internal resources, we can operate as an extension of the team. For customers with existing resources, we complement them.
